01 / THE CHARTER

Change what the institution is for.

Every undertaking carries a belief about what deserves to exist. A library believes knowledge should outlive its owners. A garden believes the future is worth tending. A friendship believes another life is worth the time.

Vatican Ventures is a proposed cultural journal about the virtues inside ambitious projects. It asks how patience, courage, generosity, and discernment can become design choices people encounter in the world.

Bring the idea. Examine the promise. Ask whom it serves and what it asks of its makers. A worthy venture gives its beliefs a form other people can inhabit.

This is the founding charter: an invitation to develop the ideas below.
